OAKWOOD RECOGNISED AT SALFORD BUSINESS AWARDS
Oakwood is celebrating success at this year’s Salford Business Awards, taking the award for Best Use of Technology and runner up in the award for Innovation.
The award recognises INSITE; a new digital, interactive service which we added to our portfolio in May of this year. INSITE is designed to give our clients a true, immersive insight into their projects, going beyond the conventional construction services and technology and providing a step change in project delivery.
The construction industry has begun to embrace digital innovation over the past decade, and we believes that INSITE is one of the major breakthroughs. It’s power and potential are enormous, with positive impacts being as diversified as its capabilities; from improving design quality to revamping on-site safety and from increasing customer sales to superior management of a live asset. INSITE is set to perform a defining role in many future projects and it is this that has been recognised as Best Use of Technology at the 2019 Salford Business Awards.
Oakwood was established in Salford by Harry Brown in 1981 and is still run by a family of proud Salfordians, who are immensely proud to be recognised by our home city.
Since being established as a structural engineering company, our business has grown and evolved and whilst we now operate on a national and worldwide basis, with projects currently on the ground in Australia and America, we are proud that we still operate from our Salford based offices. Community is hugely important with sponsorship of Salford Red Devils’ player Josh Jones, just one example of our local support.
We are committed to employing locally and believe this award is a tremendous recognition of the hard work of our team and a great way to thank them for their continued commitment, helping to provide enthusiasm for the months and years to come.
